SUPERMENU
Pick three objects. Get one thing to do.
Supermenu is a small machine for choosing. A case holds twelve objects from museum collections, shown without their labels. Pick three by eye. The machine answers with one task, on a sheet with room to do it.
How it works
Pick three objects from the case. There is no right choice.
Each object carries a hidden rule for making things. The machine finds the task whose rules sit closest to your three.
Print the sheet, do the task in the box, and tick it: Done, or Not for me.
If you like, post a photo of the sheet with #supermenuARS. Share only what you are happy to show.
Nothing you pick is stored.
Background
Supermenu began in 2017 as a table of 200 photographed objects for COSMORAMA. In 2018, at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, it became a series of machines: you placed objects on a sensing table, and turning discs answered with an object assembled for you. This version brings the idea to the web, with tasks in place of objects.
