SHUBIDUBI
A format that makes room for doing things without a reason.
(What follows is not an explanation, but an orientation)
No goals.
No outcomes.
No performance.
Just tasks.
Shubidubi is made of simple instructions—small actions you can carry out in your own time, in your own way.
Some are quiet. Some are awkward. Some involve other people. None are meant to be completed “correctly.”
Sometimes this takes place with others. Tasks are shared, exchanged, or encountered unexpectedly.
Sometimes it appears on paper—as small cards, receipts, or tickets—meant to be picked up, carried, misplaced, or followed once and forgotten.
You don’t need to do all of them.
You don’t need to understand them.
Nothing might happen.
Something might shift.
You won’t know until you try.
Printed tasks are one way the work circulates.
In institutional or organisational settings, the format is reworked through commissioned collaborations.
